So ever since I started jumping in vans with bands, I realized that touring is a lot more then playing shows. Its about being broke (most of the time), struggling to find places to sleep, getting into all sorts of shenanigans, and meeting tons of new people. Each band ive ever had a chance to tour with has there own way of going about things. Touring in itself is a whole world on its own, i feel like a lot of people aren’t familiar with. So I sat in the back of a van on one of the last von Wolfe runs and had an idea of how cool it would be to start an online video series that depicted life on tour with different bands.
Here I am almost 3 years later, on my computer sorting footage from my time I spent with Frameworks on a week long tour out to SXSW in February, for the first episode of this series.
A lot of people who know me on a personal level, will know how much I have talked about doing this, and I couldn’t be anymore excited or nervous for finally starting to put it together. If you are interested in this project, or have heard me talk about this, I hope you will tell people about this. I would love to have this turn into something major, because I feel as if the world of touring is something that should be shown to the world. So many bands work so hard to travel this country for the sole purpose of just playing music and having fun. I’ve had many of my friends quit there jobs, drop out of school, and starve themselves because they are broke, for the sole purpose of doing a tour just to see different states and introduce there music to new people.
All Roads Lead to Here | Episode 1 with Frameworks.
I hope to soon have ready for you.
Thank You.
